The first meal of the day is just as important to us as it is to you. Between 07:30 and 10:30, breakfast lovers can fortify themselves at our extensive buffet in preparation for an exciting day in Bad Hofgastein. And we take the word extensive literally:

Selected coffee and tea specialities, warm dishes from the oven, homemade, baked, pickled, preserved, and roasted products are served alongside egg dishes and omelettes from happy hens, cheese from the province of Salzburg, as well as ham and sausage from the legendary butcher Hutegger.

Enjoy breakfast like an Emperor

Seasonal and regional fruit and vegetables and exquisite sweets all round. Here you will find Gugelhupf and fresh cottage cheese, apple and plum puff pastries and fluffy croissants. Homemade jams and honey from the honeycomb are waiting to be spread on bread fresh from the bakery. The milk for the muesli comes from a cow in Salzburger Land, the yoghurt from a Greek recipe. Heavenly flavours for your taste buds.

Veggie & Vegan Love

At Hotel BLÜ in Gastein, we love vegetarian and vegan food. We also serve gluten-free food, which also influences our breakfast menu: Organic mueslis with quinoa, millet or amaranth, tofu-turmeric-masala (we like to call it "scrambled veggies"), babaganush, millet-plum-porridge, plant milk and yoghurt, chia pudding with berries and vegan spreads. In our hotel, going without becomes pure pleasure.

Surprise, surprise

But that's not all by a long shot. Just like the whims of our cuisine, so are the highlights of the day: For example, on request, we offer delicious Shakshuka, a speciality of Israeli cuisine made from fried eggs in a sauce of tomatoes, chillies, and onions. We also serve the steaming Vietnamese beef noodle soup "Pho" with star anise and herbs in winter. Maybe try the American classic "Eggs Benedict", so you are prepared for a freezing cold day in the mountains around Bad Hofgastein.
