Three towns with three different personalities and one thing in common: a warm welcome. More than 1000 years ago, the 40-kilometre-long Tauern Valley was first documented. Today, Gastein, with its three villages of Dorfgastein, Bad Hofgastein, and Bad Gastein, is still a blossoming region. More than ever.
If you drive through the Klammtunnel to Gastein, you will see the valley open before you. Most people can't help but be amazed: a multitude of mountain peaks, a magnificent natural landscape, two thermal spas, a cool lake for bathing and a solar bath. Farms steeped in history, period architecture and top-quality cultural offerings. Finally, there are the healing thermal waters, the effects of which were already highly appreciated by the aristocracy in the 19th Century. The Gastein Valley has so much to offer that we don't even know where to start.
However, we will just give it a try at the entrance to the valley.
