A ski bus stop directly in front of the Hotel BLÜ in Bad Hofgastein takes you to the valley station of the Schlossalmbahn in just a few minutes. From here, it's "non-stop to the top" to the summit. Freeride Hotspot Sportgastein
The high plateau of Sportgastein, which lies at up to 2,686 metres above sea level, is a paradise for freeriding in Gastein. Due to the high Alpine location, snow is guaranteed here, and you are guaranteed untouched slopes of deep snow until late spring. Three marked freeride routes, big mountain runs and north and south-facing pistes with partly waist-high deep snow and loose powder await you in your winter holidays. "Old school" skiing on the Graukogel
A further insider tip is the Graukogel, the so-called "retro mountain" of the Gastein people. A rustic, cosy two-person chairlift takes you up to about 2000 metres above sea level. On many days of the season, you have the only natural snow mountain in the region entirely to yourself. Here, long, wide, partially challenging pistes with a length of 14 kilometres await you on your skiing holiday in Bad Hofgastein.
