On the top floor of the main building there is a small, fine
sauna world - Finnish sauna, bio sauna and ice fountain - with a great view of
the mountain splendour of the Hohe Tauern. While sweating with pleasure, you
always have the Graukogel, the power mountain of the Gastein Valley, where the
world-famous thermal springs originate, in view. Next door is the BLÜ Yoga
Space, where resident yogi Fia Sonora will make your inner buds bloom.
After a fulfilling infusion, take a cold shower, rub your body with ice from the fountain and let it dry outside on the sun deck. And come to rest. Feel reborn.
Then relax on one of the wonderful wooden loungers made by the carpenter or in one of the cosy corners in the HimmbelBlü Spa. Simply enjoy the green of the mountain meadows or watch the skiers and clear your head. Or read a book from the Blü library (1st floor of the main building). And if you fall asleep for a short while, you know that this is the most restful sleep that you will look back on with pleasure all year round.
In addition, the HimmelBLÜ Garden awaits those hungry for fresh air to cool off and take a deep breath in the Gastein Valley.
The Blü really isn't a classic wellness hotel, we think less is more here - more rest, relaxation and enjoyment. The HimmelBLÜ Spa is open daily until 10 pm. The sauna usually starts at 4 pm - as soon as a guest wants it. Whether in between, after a mountain tour, after skiing or just to ‘hang out’ in the hotel on a rainy day, even earlier: simply perfect for feeling good.
Reading material is of course available in the HimmelBlü. A Quooker provides refreshment with bubbles or hot water.
Guests will find sauna towels in their room together with the hammam towel, which we use in the hotel instead of a bathrobe. If you prefer a more classic style, you can hire a bathrobe from reception for a fee.
